Itinerary

Day 1 - Halifax

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada: Surrounded by natural treasures and glorious seascapes, Halifax is an attractive and vibrant hub with noteworthy historic and modern architecture, great dining and shopping, and a lively nightlife and festival scene. The old city manages to feel both hip and historic. Previous generations had the foresight to preserve the cultural and architectural integrity of the city, yet students from five local universities keep it lively and current. It's an ideal starting point for any tour of the Atlantic provinces, but even if you don't venture beyond its boundaries, you will get a real taste of the region. Halifax's natural harbour—the second largest in the world after Sydney, Australia's—first drew the British here in 1749, and today most major sites are conveniently located either along it or on the Citadel-crowned hill overlooking it. This city actually covers quite a bit of ground, now incorporated into the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), making it Nova Scotia's capital and the most significant Canadian urban centre east of Montréal. Halifax Harbour doubles as a playground, with one of the world's longest downtown boardwalks, where container ships, commuter ferries, cruise ships, and tour boats compete for space alongside workaday tugs and fishing vessels.

Day 3 - Prince Edward and Marion Islands

Prince Edward and Marion Islands, South Africa: These isolated islands in the sub-Antarctic region are a sanctuary for an array of wildlife. Known for their stunning volcanic landscapes, they host colossal colonies of seabirds, seals, and penguins. Expeditions here often offer unique insights into both the pristine natural environment and ongoing scientific research.

Day 5 - Gaspé

Gaspé, Québec, Canada: With dramatic oceanfront cliffs and rich history, Gaspé is a place where nature and culture intertwine beautifully. Visit the Forillon National Park to experience breathtaking landscapes or explore Gaspé's role in Canada's early days with its many historical sites.

Day 6 - Tadoussac

Tadoussac, Québec, Canada: Sitting on the natural junction where the River Saguenay unloads into the massive Saint Lawrence, a visit to strategically located Tadoussac leaves you fantastically placed to explore some of Quebec's finest history, wildlife, and scenery. Sail a little further up the Saguenay, and you’ll be confronted by the glorious Saguenay Fjord, as you cruise through verdant hills of dense forestry and steep cliffs. Alternatively, voyage out onto the deep waters of the Saint Lawrence River, where you can spot blue whales—the world's largest animals—slowly emerging from the depths. Rich with history, Tadoussac is also home to North America's oldest wooden chapel, the Old Chapel, offering a fascinating glimpse into the past.

Day 7 -

Unknown Location: This day is waiting to unfold with spontaneity and discovery at its heart. A chance for surprise and unexpected adventures amid the backdrop of the region's natural beauty and cultural depth.

Day 8 - Quebec City

Quebec City, Québec, Canada: Québec City's alluring setting atop Cape Diamond evokes a past of high adventure, military history, and exploration. This French-speaking capital city is the only walled city north of Mexico. Visitors come for the delicious and inventive cuisine, the remarkable historical continuity, and to share in the seasonal exuberance of the largest Francophone population outside France. Explore the historic Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, and elaborate cathedrals. The most familiar icon of the city, Fairmont Château Frontenac, is set on the highest point in Upper Town. Explore lively neighbourhoods within and beyond the old city walls for a taste of contemporary culture amid historical roots.

Day 9 - Montréal

Montréal, Québec, Canada: Canada's most diverse metropolis, Montréal, is an island city that favours style and elegance over order or even prosperity, a city where past and present intrude on each other daily. With a vivid history harking back to Prohibition, when Americans crossed the border for music and good times, this city remains vibrant and grand. Montréal's festivals, bustling night scene, and cultural offerings create an inviting atmosphere. Experience the lush Parc du Mont-Royal and iconic Basilique Notre-Dame-de-Montréal, or discover the bustling Underground City.

Day 11 - Toronto

Toronto, Ontario, Canada: Canada's largest city, Toronto is a vibrant hub of culture, arts, and business. Explore the iconic CN Tower, visit world-class museums and galleries, or enjoy the ethnically diverse neighbourhoods that offer a global tapestry of cuisine and culture.

Day 12 -

Unknown Location: Embrace an open day for exploration and adventure, whether it leads to undiscovered trails or unique cultural experiences. Each moment here beckons to be a part of a personal narrative waiting to unfold.

Day 13 - Windsor

Windsor, Ontario, Canada: Known as the 'Automotive Capital of Canada', Windsor provides a unique mix of industry and culture. View the city's stunning architecture, enjoy its waterfront parks, and explore the historical Windsor Sculpture Park.

Day 14 - Tobermory

Tobermory, Ontario, Canada: Tobermory is a harbour village on the Bruce Peninsula. Just southeast, Bruce Peninsula National Park is known for the Bruce Trail footpath on the craggy Niagara Escarpment and the Grotto, a wave-carved cave in Georgian Bay.
